Multi Family Sales Manager

PURPOSE:
To provide sales management leadership to a specified sales territory by developing and implementing sales plans; and directing and overseeing all aspects of sales and expenses for the purpose of profitable selling kitchen and bath cabinets in Multi Family Projects in an effort to meet and/or exceed sales and expense targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement MultiFamily sales plans for specified territory
Develop business relationships to promote specification of American Woodmark products on Multifamily Job Site
Service client accounts; and perform regular client visits
Sell and manage major accounts
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales budget development and expense management
Perform sales forecasting
Achievement of sales and expense goals
Maintenance of budgeted sales and expense ratios
Target and development of sales strategy for new accounts
Maintenance of quality business relationships with key customers
Develop methods to monitor sales productivity and call activity
Development and implementation of marketing programs and promotions
Support Timberlake operational time to provide "Build by Service"
Coordinate inside sales activities within region;
Following AWC policies and procedures in performing responsibilities of job
Maintaining and promoting a team spirit among all AWC personnel
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all aspects of Specification, Solicitation, Quoting, and Contract Negotiation for Multifamily Projects in Specified Territory
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Education, Experience and Skills
Undergraduate degree in marketing, business or related field
Proven track record in field sales with 5 to 7 years of successful new business development experience including major accounts in Multifamily Projects within Specified Territory.
3 to 5 years of sales management experience including the development and implementation of successful sales plans in Multifamily Building Material Sales
Experience in the building materials industry is required and existing relationships with decision makers at Multifamily Developers and General Construction Companies is preferred
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Excellent oral and written communication and persuasive skills
Basic computer skills required, knowledge of Microsoft products a plus
Language Skills:
Ability to read, and interpret common business documents including business reports, charts, graphs and diagrams. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers/clients, members of the business community and public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds over head.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Significant travel, both in and out of town, is required. Travel is typically by company car and commercial air carrier. Hours will vary as necessitated by business. Regular evening and weekend work is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
